Since its establishment in 1991, the Korea Advertising Review Board (KARB) has been dedicated to reinforcing self-regulation in advertising through rigorous and responsible review processes. By fostering a culture of voluntary advertising review, we aim to cultivate a more mature advertising ecosystem, enhance the industry’s self-regulatory capabilities, and ultimately contribute to the advancement of the media sector.
To achieve this, KARB operates both the Advertorial Review Committee and the Print Media Advertising Review Committee, identifying problematic advertisements and notifying media companies or advertisers to heighten awareness of their social responsibilities. For broadcast advertisements, we are committed to optimizing the pre-screening process, ensuring the efficient implementation of self-regulatory practices.
Additionally, we distribute the Advertising Review publication free of charge and welcome requests from advertisers and industry professionals who wish to receive additional copies.
