Operation of the Advertising Self-Regulation Subcommittee and Establishment Preparatory Committee Based on the Study and Research

On March 27, 1991, the Korea Advertising Review Board (KARB) was officially launched at its inaugural general meeting with the participation of eight advertising-related associations. Cho Gyu-Ha, President of the Korea Advertisers Association, was appointed as the first chairman.

To enhance the efficiency of the organization’s review operations, a special general meeting was held on July 29, 1993, to elect a new executive board, with Professor Yoo Bung-No, Honorary Professor at Yonsei University, appointed as chairman.

On November 10, 1993, KARB was officially approved as an incorporated association by the Ministry of Public Information, with 12 advertising-related organizations as its members.
